Taxes are on everybody's mind and to-do list. Here's your chance to give the IRS your opinions.
This month Eileen Kelly, a Wilmette resident and one of four Illinois representatives on the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel, a federal advisory committee will join us. TAP is comprised of volunteers from each state appointed by the Secretary of the Treasury to serve in an advisory capacity to the Internal Revenue Service. One role of TAP members is to elicit comments and suggestions from individuals and small businesses concerning IRS customer service and "products" such as forms, instructions and notices.
