The Chamber and the Village of Wilmette are excited to announce a joint Disability Awareness Training for members and employees on Friday, February 24 from 9:00-10:30 am in Council Chambers at Village Hall. The training will be conducted by the JJ’s List Disability Awareness Players.
This is a great opportunity for you and your employees to build confidence and experience in how to communicate comfortably and appropriately with customers, co-workers or potential hires who have disabilities.
The experience includes a full cast of Disability Awareness Players who are experts in disability, because they have disabilities. Trainings are interactive, with role plays and audience participation for hands-on learning.
“The Disability Awareness Training I participated in several years ago was life-changing for me. I had so much fun and got all of my questions answered. I am much more confident now,” said Chamber Executive Director Julie Yusim.
