Event Description:
Join your friends and neighbors for a free, guided Tree Walk in Mallinckrodt Park and learn to identify a variety of trees that thrive in northern Illinois. Go Green Wilmette, the Wilmette Park District and the Village of Wilmette are partnering for this all-ages event that will cover tree identification, the basics of how to protect your trees against environmental stresses, the benefits of planting native species and which trees might work best in your own yard. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Sunday, Oct. 4, 10:00-11:30 a.m.
