Please join the Woman's Club of Wilmette for a presentation by Eve Moran about “Unsung Heroines of Women’s Suffrage” on Wednesday, October 21st at 12 noon via Zoom. During the year 2020 we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution - hailed for recognizing women’s right to vote. An anniversary such as this, offers the opportunity to look back at the multi-generational suffrage movement and elevate some of the interesting (and less familiar women) who engaged in the struggle. Their stories are deeply inspiring and remain relevant to the continuing quest for women’s equality.
